Saher Ahmed Consultancy Limited is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15882825, whose registered address is at Unit 6 Dbs, Cambridge Road Industrial Estate, Milton, Cambridge, CB24 6AZ.  In this privacy notice we will refer to ourselves as ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’. 

At Saher Ahmed Consultancy, operated by Dr Saher Ahmed, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit our website [www.saherahmed.com] (the “Site”). By using our Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information

So that we are able to provide you with services, we may require your personal information. If you do not provide us with the required personal information, we may be prevented from supplying the services to you. Special Information

Certain very sensitive personal information requires extra protection under data protection law. Sensitive data includes information relating to health, racial and ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and similar beliefs, trade union membership, sex life and sexual orientation and also includes genetic information and biometric information. We do not collect special information about clients as standard. If you participate in certain activities as part of our services, we may collect and hold the following types of special information about you: (a) race; (b) ethnic origin; (c) religious or philosophical beliefs; (d) trade union membership; (e) genetic data; (f) biometric data used for identification; (g) health data (h) sexual orientation. Where we do hold special information relating to the categories above, we will retain this data for up to 2 years after delivery of the services. 

Non-Personal Information

Non-personal information is data that does not identify you specifically. This includes:

Analytics: We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect information on how visitors use our Site, which helps us improve its functionality and user experience.

We use the information that you provide in order to complete our responsibilities to you as part of our agreement. This might be to provide you with communication about the project we are working on, or to use the data for an agreed purpose.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

  • Your consent; for example, if you sign up to a mailing list or agree that we may contact you for marketing purposes. You are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting us at saher@saherahmed.com
  • We have a contractual obligation, for example, we are working with you and require information from you for the purpose of meeting our contractual obligations.  
  • We have a legitimate interest, including for marketing and networking purposes, improving our services and protecting our work against risk.

How long we retain your data

We will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary – see above. How long is necessary will depend upon the purposes for which we collected the personal information and whether we are under any legal obligation to keep the personal information (such as in relation to accounting or auditing records or for tax reasons). We may also need to keep personal information in case of any legal claims, including in relation to any guarantees or warranties which we have provided with the services.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data
